The Doctrine of Christ
2 John 1:9 King James Version 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
The Godhead
The fulness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus Christ, the Son of God bodily (Colossians 2:9). The Godhead is God, the Father (Malachi 2:10, Romans 1:19-21).
Colossians 2:8-9 King James Version 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
He is the only true God (John 17:3). He is the one God that Christians believe in (1 Corinthians 8:6). God is Holy and he is a Spirit, he is the Holy Spirit (Leviticus 19:2, John 4:24).
John 4:24 King James Version 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
He is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
Ephesians 1:3 King James Version 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
He is the King eternal, immortal, invisible and the only wise God (1 Timothy 1:17).
Jesus Christ the Son of the living God
Jesus Christ was a man that was (and is) the Son of God (1 Timothy 2:5, Matthew 16:16, John 20:31).
Matthew 16:16 King James Version 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
After the baptism which John preached, Jesus when he was baptized was also anointed with the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of His Father (Matthew 10:20), in Acts 10:37-38:
Acts 10:37-38 King James Version 37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
He lived a perfect life without sin and was resurrected by the Spirit of God three days and three nights after His crucifixion (Hebrews 4:15, 1 John 3:5, 1 Peter 3:18, Matthew 12:40).
Hebrews 4:15 King James Version 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
1 John 3:5 King James Version 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
Jesus Christ is God
God's Holy Word teaches us that Jesus Christ is God. All of God the Father is inside Him (Colossians 2:9):
Colossians 2:9 King James Version 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Also, all power has been given to Jesus in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18):
Matthew 28:18 King James Version 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
John 20:27-28 King James Version 27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Salvation
The Gospel - Salvation from Sins
The gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to save us from our sins (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). The way the gospel is obeyed is by doing exactly what Jesus Christ said in Luke 24:47, which Peter repeated on the Day of Pentecost when he preached to the sinners that became the first Christians in Acts 2:38:
Acts 2:38 King James Version 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Eternal Life - Salvation from God's Wrath
In order for Christians to stay saved, they must continue to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ (Romans 10:8-10). This means of course that they must stay believing the gospel of Jesus Christ they are preaching (1 Corinthians 15:2). Christians must also live a life of holiness and peace with all men, because if they don't they will NOT see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14):
Hebrews 12:14 King James Version 14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Christians
Disciples of Jesus Christ, were first called Christians in Antioch in the book of Acts (Acts 11:26).
Acts 11:26 King James Version 26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
Hebrews 5:9 King James Version 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ, consisting of the people that are Christians (Colossians 1:24, Hebrews 3:6, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19). The Church is not to be misunderstood as the building the people are in, but again, the people themselves, as detailed in Colossians 4:15 "the church which is in his house". The church (the Christians), which is in his house.
Colossians 4:15 King James Version 15 Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.
What is Jesus Christ now?
Jesus Christ is a glorified (spiritual) man right now with all of God inside of Him (John 7:39, 1 Corinthians 15:42-44, Colossians 2:9). Jesus Christ's glorified body is made up of flesh and bones, incorruptible flesh (Luke 24:39, Ephesians 5:29-30).
Ephesians 5:29-30 King James Version 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
