Men and Women
Men
Man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). As a result, Men are commanded to behave like men and look like men (1 Corinthians 16:13, Deuteronomy 22:5, 1 Corinthians 11:14).

Men must also not dishonor their head by covering it when praying or prophesying (1 Corinthians 11:4). Man is the head of the woman (1 Corinthians 11:3) and is therefore responsible for leadership both in the family and in the church.

Women
Women are expected to live in submission to their husbands (Ephesians 5:22) and subject themselves to the man in the church setting (1 Timothy 2:11-12).

When praying or prophesying they must cover their heads to honor it (1 Corinthians 11:5-6). A woman's long hair is a glory to her (1 Corinthians 11:15). Women are supposed to dress themselves modestly, and not have broided hair or wear gold, pearls, and pricey clothing (1 Timothy 2:9-10, 2 Kings 9:30, Jeremiah 4:30).

Women are not supposed to wear clothing that pertains to a man, but to look like women (Deuteronomy 22:5, 1 Corinthians 11:15).

Isaiah 47:1-3 King James Version 47 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.
In Isaiah 47:1-3, God is speaking through the prophet Isaiah about the virgin daughter of Babylon in a metaphorical way.
While speaking about the virgin daughter of Babylon, what we need to realize is even though this is speaking in a metaphorical way as a daughter, the scripture reveals what the nakedness and shame of a daughter or woman is in verse 2, "Uncover thy locks". The uncovering of the locks means the uncovering of the hair. Locks is another word for hair. Go to these scriptures to see this (Number 6:5, Ezekiel 44:20 and Judges 16:19). So now you see that the locks is the hair. Read verse 3 of Isaiah chapter 47 now. It says, "Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen." The uncovering of the locks is the nakedness of a woman and the shame of a woman being seen. God wants women to have their locks covered, not uncovered.
